Installing Subscription Herder for Shopify requires just a few steps to get your store up and running. Please also to review the store requirements for Shopify to ensure you meet the minimum requirements to use subscriptions on Shopify.

Create a subscription plan group with at least one plan option

Add a subscription widget to your storefront

The storefront widget lets your customers select a subscription plan for the product they are viewing and add it to the cart. Subscription Herder offers different widget options depending on your specific store requirements. Online Store 2.0 themes are compatible with all widget options as long as the product page supports customization. Custom legacy themes can make use of all widget options, however, it may require extra steps so please contact our support team if you have questions. Older free Shopify themes like Debut only work with the standard widget for automated install but can be treated like custom themes to use the other widget options if desired.

Set your purchase options policy

The purchase options policy in your store should detail how your subscription plans work for customers and any special requirements around minimum purchases and cancellation. See Add a purchase option policy for more information and a template.
